Our Privacy Policy
Whilst, as a small association, we are probably 'out of scope' of the 2018 'General Data Protection Regulations' we still think it right to take the opportunity to put a policy in place.
Our full Data Protection policy document can be downloaded here.
In summary, we may hold your: Name, Email address, Postal Address, Telephone Numbers, Membership details (Beds Humanist Member or Supporter/Affiliate or Skeptic) plus other related memberships/affiliations (e.g. Humanists UK, National Secular Society, Celebrant etc). Membership notes, dates and stated preferences, and only where you have given us this information. We hold no further information.
In reality, for most people, the only personal information we hold is a name and email address.
For clarity: We do not hold any bank details, even if you pay by Paypal as they don’t pass this information to us.
If you want to check what information we hold, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to give you a copy. Our regular newsletter, The Bedfordshire Sceptic, and our other mailings include a link to our current policy document and a note of how to unsubscribe and have your details deleted – something we are always happy to do.
The reality is that we would never make your personal data available to any 3rd party without your express permission and we hate spam, and the spammers who send it.
